Travelling to and around Melbourne

Flights depart regularly from all states in Australia and fly direct to Melbourne. Although very easy to travel to, we recommend delegates secure their flights as soon as possible to avoid disappointment for your preferred dates and times!

Airport Transfers

Buses and Shuttles

SkyBus runs express bus services every 10 minutes between Melbourne Airport and Melbourne CBD, operating all day, every day at a flat rate of $19.75 one-way. They have service desks conveniently located at each our terminals, and provide a free City Hotel Shuttle. Skybus also provide direct services to St Kilda, Southbank, Docklands, Frankston and Peninsula and Western suburbs of Melbourne.

Melbourne Airport’s Long Term and Value Car Parks are serviced by a fleet of free shuttle buses. Private shuttles also service the surrounding off-airport car parks with pick up and drop off in the forecourt opposite Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) operates 5 timetabled services from the T4 Ground Transport Hub.


Taxis, Rideshare and Chauffeurs

Taxi ranks are located across from the terminals. Melbourne CBD is approximately a 30 minute fare. Estimate your fare here. The current Melbourne Airport access fee of $3.65 applies to all pick-ups from an airport taxi rank. The access fee is paid by the passenger to the taxi driver and is included in the taxi fare. There is no airport charge for drop off.

You can also pre-book a taxi to pick you up from the airport. Your taxi will be ready to collect you in the outdoor section of the At Terminal T123 car park.

Local taxi companies include: 13CABS 13 22 27, Silver Top Taxis 13 10 08.

Rideshare drivers pick up travellers from two locations: Qantas, International and Virgin Australia passengers from lane 3 of the forecourt; Jetstar, TigerAir, Rex or AirNorth passengers from level 2 inside the T4 Ground Transport Hub. A rideshare access fee of $4.48 inc GST applies per trip. Passengers can be dropped off anywhere along Departure Drive and the T4 Transport Hub drop off zone on level 1. This is the same for all the public drop off zones.

Chauffeur/Hire cars can be pre-arranged to meet you at any of our terminals. Drivers will meet at the Chauffeur/Hire cars meeting points inside the airport. The fee is agreed to in advance as there is no meter in the vehicle. Chauffeur/Hire cars must be pre-arranged as there are no service desks at the airport.
